Groene Tint

About us

Groene Tint V.O.F. is a hypermodern company and covers an area of 30.000 m². The management consists of Stefan Groenewegen and Richard van der Salm.

In 2007 the company was fully equipped for the cultivation of potanthuriums and everything was automated; the 3500 containers on which the anthuriums are growing, pass the working place three to four times to sort the plants, to give them the correct space and for checking for possible defects. In this way we are able to deliver a beautiful product, which is sold all over Europe and beyond.

Assortment

We have a broad assortment, besides the different potsizes (10.5, 12 and 14 centimeter), we offer a variety of flowershapes and colors like red, white, pink, purple and orange in various shades.

In order to manage the growth of one million potanthuriums a year we use modern techniques, but also have a good educated staff . Our processes meet stringent requirements and that is why we have the following certificates: MPS-A, MPS-GAP en MPS-SQ. And with these certificates we are allowed to deliver under the FairFlowerFairplants label.

History

Groene Tint V.O.F. emerged from the company N.A.M. Groenewegen, which was established on January 1st, 1969 in Naaldwijk, The Netherlands, close to the Flower Auction Holland. It originally started as a typical Westlandse nursery with the cultivation of vegetables and flowers and in the beginning even grapes. Soon after the establishment the company specialized in year round chrysantemums, which was an new cultivation in those days.

After almost fourty years of chrysantemums and two young and ambitious entrepeneurs added to the company it was time for a new challenge: potanthuriums. In 2007 big investment were made in the most modern techniques in order to create the best circumstances for this new product.

Now

In the mean time the nursery moved to a new location in the village Tinte. And so Groene Tint V.O.F. was born. Senior Nico Groenewegen retired and Stefan Groenewegen and Richard van der Salm are now the driving forces behind Groene Tint V.O.F.
